Fall is here in Georgia and we couldn’t be happier! Fall is our favorite time of the year for so many reasons, but mainly because it cools down and brings ALL the holidays with it.

I wanted to share one of our go to Fall breakfast recipes today!!!

Gluten Free Banana Bread

1c Bobs redmill flour GF- 1 cup almond flour

4-5 semi ripe bananas

¼ c maple syrup

½ c brown sugar or ¾ cup coconut sugar

2 large eggs

¼ c coconut oil

4oz unsweetened applesauce

1 tsp vanilla- caramel flavoring

2 Tbsp milk ( almond or skim)

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

⅕ tsp salt

1 c chopped nuts

Bake at 350 for 60 min or until toothpick comes out corn in center

Combine all dry ingredients and set aside

Mix oil, sugars, eggs, milk and applesauce. Stir in vanilla, add mashed bananas until mixed well.

Add dry ingredients to wet and mix well, fold in nuts and bake until done!

Banana Blueberry Muffins

3 super ripe bananas

2 tablespoons melted coconut oil

3 tablespoons maple syrup

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp baking powder

1 ½ cups almond flour ( I used coconut flour)

1 small package blueberries (about 1 cup)

Preheat oven to 375. Mash bananas in a medium bowl, then mix in the rest of the ingredients except blueberries. Fold in the blueberries. Spray in a mini muffin tin with cooking spray (i used a regular pan) and fill each cup ¾ full.

Bake for 15 min or until done in center

And our ALL time FAVE!!!!! When the HOT sign is on...you MUST stop!!! Do you know what I am talking about?

Krispy Kreme of course!!! So this recipe is clearly not healthy, but it is DELISH!!!!! Do you have a Krispy Kreme where you live??

Donut Shortcake

5-6 Krispy Kreme Donuts ( a day or so old)

Homemade Whipped Cream or store bought works well also ( recipe below)

Fresh cut strawberries in their own juice, you can buy frozen ones but not as tasty. ;)

**Cut strawberries a day ahead and place with about a Tbsp or so of water, and 1 tsp of honey in a bowl with a lid. Cover until ready to use. The longer they sit, the more juicy they become, we like ours a bit more firm.**

Cut donuts in half

Fill with whipped cream

Layer strawberries

Place top on and ENJOY!!!!!

Homemade Whipped Cream-

1 cup heavy whipping cream

3 Tbsp of powdered sugar

½ tsp vanilla extract

**For best results, chill your beaters and bowl

Begin to whisk the cream

In a chilled small glass bowl, beat cream until it begins to thicken. It should begin to have some body, but won’t form a stiff peak.

Add the rest of your ingredients and beat Once slightly thickened, add the confectioners’ sugar and vanilla. Continue beating until soft peaks form. The recipe will double in size and become a mound of smooth and sweet whipped cream

Overindulge in these...they are totally worth it. :)

We hope you enjoy some of our favorites...feel free to share yours below. We are foodies at heart!!!!
